Wherry Trip £36

A day out on The Albion, a 125yr old. Traditional Norfolk Wherry. Known as a “ black sail trader” she is one of only two remaining, commercial wherries, built specifically for the Broads. At their peak there were over 300 of these crafts, but now The Albion, is the only one for hire.

The day will begin at 9am. Bring a picnic lunch. Wear ,’ non slip’ sole shoes. Bring suitable clothing for being out in the elements all day, including sun screen.

The Wherry comes with its own crew, but everyone will have an opportunity to help sail this magnificent craft.

Teas, coffee, home made cake and biscuits are supplied throughout the day.

It’s a wonderful day out, gliding along the river under sail, through magical wetlands.
