About the event
Come and enjoy a four mile summer stroll. The walk starts by taking the lakeside path beside Glebe Lake. Leaving the Park, we walk along field edges, leading us up to Odell Great Wood. We take woodland tracks through this delightful wood, full of birdsong, eventually returning via a wide grassy track, coming out by the Church in Odell.
The terrain is good underfoot, field edges and woodland tracks. Wear stout footwear. The wood could be muddy in places, if it’s been wet! (when isn’t it?)
We pass the pub, The Bell, in Odell for those of us who would enjoy some liquid refreshment, before walking back to the start (not far). Picnics can be eaten on the green opposite the pub, with a glass of something or walk back to the start, where picnic tables by the lake are available.
Carpark free, but donations of £1 minimum requested per car.
Start 10.30 am. Meet by the Dragonfly Café near the carpark.
