Northampton Bike Park - £2.00

Something exciting has happened in Northampton. A former golf course has been transformed into a new 40-acre specialist Mountain Bike Park, welcoming cyclists from Northamptonshire and beyond. But you don't need a specialist mountain bike to tackle the green and blue runs. There are enough twists, turns and humps to keep your fingers on your brake levers, but with a bit of care, you'll soon be at the bottom looking for the next challenge.  There's a training area at the bottom which contains several short Green and Blue Grade Trail Sections in one condensed area.  This area will allow less experienced riders like us to quickly understand the sort of features that will be met on the longer runs.  Cycle helmets are essential, The park suggests gloves and elbow and knee protectors, so I'd avoid both short-sleeved tops and shorts. There's no cycle hire at the park, so you'll need to bring your own bike and cycle helmet as well as your inner teenager. (I've tackled all the blue and green runs several times without incident).

Toilets, cafe, bike racking and a warm welcome await you at Delapre Golf Centre. There are hot & cold drinks, snacks, and sandwiches – along with a breakfast, lunch & dinner menu. 

Official parking is at the far end of the car park at Delapre Golf Centre and is free for one hour, but costs £5.00 for three hours.
