Northampton Bike Park £2

Something exciting has happened in Northampton. A former golf course has been transformed into a new 40-acre specialist Mountain Bike Park, welcoming cyclists from Northamptonshire and beyond. But you don't need a specialist mountain bike to tackle the green and blue runs. There are enough twists, turns and humps to keep your fingers on your brake levers, but with a bit of care, you'll soon be at the bottom looking for the next challenge.  There's a training area at the bottom which contains several short Green and Blue Grade Trail Sections in one condensed area.  This area will allow less experienced riders like us to quickly understand the sort of features that will be met on the longer runs.  Cycle helmets are essential, The park suggests gloves and elbow and knee protectors, so I'd avoid both short-sleeved tops and shorts.
