About the event

Monopoly Challenge Sunday October 29th

Meet at St Pancras Station at 10:50 am for an 11am start

Meeting Point Sir John Betjeman Statue (Upper level near EMR First Class Lounge)

COST: £5

Working in teams and starting at St Pancras Station at 11:00ish you’ll have four hours to photograph your monopoly playing piece in as many of the 34* streets, stations, utilities and other monopoly squares as possible.

You can walk, catch a bus, take the tube or, for that matter, hire a cab. Each photograph will earn 2 points or 3, if it meets the bonus criterium.

We’ll meet again at the British Museum at 3:00pm for tea, cake and to count up the scores. Late arrivals will of course be punished by loss of points.

You’ll be provided a playing piece to be photographed, a simple map showing the locations of the “squares”, a handout describing a very brief history and features of the “squares” and information about each bonus point, a visitors map of central London, and emergency contact details.

You’ll need to provide a packed lunch (or find somewhere to eat), information about bus routes you intend to use (TFL have a great website), mobile phone or camera to take the photos, mobile phone to help with navigation and emergency contact, and a big bucket of enthusiasm.

You can indicate your team preference on the registration form.

*No-one is expected to collect all 34 locations. View the challenge as an opportunity to visit some interesting sites in London.
