About the event
We are going overseas (no passport required)! The Isle of Wight has been a popular holiday destination since Victorian times, with its mild climate, award-winning beaches, picturesque villages, scenic coastal walks and historical sites. The organiser will be based at Nodes Point Holiday Park near St Helens on the east of the island www.parkdeanresorts.co.uk/isle-of-wight/location/nodes-point but other accommodation, including Hoseasons www.hoeseasons.co.uk/accom/nodes-point, is available nearby for members to book. Please bear in mind ferry costs before booking accommodation.
Activities may include:
Coastal walks, Waverley paddle steamer trip round the island (timetable permitting), get-together with quiz, Osborne House visit, golf, stargazing and night walk, red squirrel walk or cycle ride. Full itinerary will be circulated nearer the time. We will do our best to incorporate as many activities as possible to make the week fun and enjoyable.
