GLIDING EXPERIENCE- HUSBANDS BOSWORTH - £40

GLIDING EXPERIENCE  Sunday 11th August 2024.

The Gliding Centre, Husbands Bosworth Airfield, Lutterworth Leicestershire LE17 6JJ.

9:15am at the airfield for a 9:30am briefing. (Maximum 12 members for this event)

Cost £40 per person (with Club subsidy).

Come and join us to experience the thrill of Gliding. Flying with the elements above the skies of Northamptonshire. If you can drive a car, you can fly a glider with a trained pilot. No previous flying experience is required.

This is a 3-5 hour activity depending on numbers, includes 1 month’s free Gliding Club membership. Event is weather dependant so date may possibly change. All equipment is provided on the day.  This year we will be doing a winch launch taking us to 1500ft altitude giving us a great flying experience. Should you wish to book a further mile high experience or exhilarating aerobatics, this can be booked at the centre. Members must be physically able to get in and out of a glider (like getting in/out of a bath).

UPPER HEIGHT LIMIT 6' 4", LOWER HEIGHT LIMIT 5' 0"

Please wear comfortable clothes including a lightweight jacket as even on a hot day the wind is still noticeable on the airfield (even in summer).

Suntan cream, a hat and sunglasses are a must (especially in summer).

Hot and cold drinks are available on site at the Hungry Pilot Café including delicious breakfasts and excellent Sunday Lunch (let me know if you would like a Sunday Lunch and I will book in to fit our schedule). Alternatively, if you wish, bring a picnic/lunch and use court yard tables.
