Gliding Experience £48 pp

GLIDING EXPERIENCE  Friday 12th August 2022.

Welland Gliding Club- Lyveden Airfield, Harley Way, Brigstock, Northants NN14 3JD.

Turn left, drive through main gate to the car park. Pre-flight briefing will be given before the flight so we must all be there on time please.

4.30pm at the airfield, 9.00pm approx. finish time. (Maximum 8 persons for this event)

Cost £48 per person (with club subsidy).

Come and join us to experience the thrill of Gliding. Flying with the elements above the skies of Northamptonshire. If you can drive a car, you can fly a glider.

No previous flying experience is required.

This is an evening activity, weather dependant and with all equipment provided.

There will be a cost of £10 (cash) per additional flight, should one or more members like more than one flight (and time allows).

Pilots must be physically able to get in and out of a glider (similar to getting in/out of a bath).

For safety reasons and to balance the glider- flying restrictions are.

Pilot Minimum Weight 50kg (110lbs or 7 Stone 12lbs) Maximum 100kg (220lbs or 15 Stone 10lbs).

Pilot Minimum Height 1.5m (4' 9") Maximum Height 1.9m (6' 2")

Please wear comfortable clothes including a coat as even on a hot day the wind is still noticeable on the airfield (even in summer).

Suntan cream, a hat and sunglasses are a must (especially in summer).

Hot and cold drinks are provided for us on the day.
