Using Fermyn’s private Wild Zone area, the ranger will lead a short walk to collect various leaves and flowers, focus on nettles and their many uses, and include craft work possibly using the Japanese technique Hapa Zome. It isn’t pure foraging as such but will be a great interactive session with new woodland skills learnt and hopefully some crafts created that the members could take home with them. Once the session is finished you can picnic or go to the Skylark Café and enjoy a home-made cake or sausage roll and take a walk around the beautiful country park.
For this activity they will give us free parking (usually £3.20 for 4 hours)
