Where better, after Oxford, than Towcester. OK it lacks a little of the grandeur of Oxford but it has a long and interesting history.
We have a guided tour around the town arranged with Towcester and District Local History Society that will last about an hour and three quarters.
We'll meet in Richmond Road Car Park, also NN12 6BU, which is a free of charge, at 10:20 for an 10:30 start by the museum.
The tour will end at the Saracen's Head on the old A43/A5 crossroads. lunch can be booked there or at one of the many other pubs and cafes in Towcester.
The museum is open all day.
